The perfect Paul Puncher lifestyle balances the acquiring of fine apparel with giving back to others within our community.
Last Fall, we managed just that. From November 28th to December 3rd, we helped our patrons to kick-off the holiday season. However, this time, with a special focus on the women in our lives and a genuine contribution that would benefit our community. We introduced the inaugural Ladies’ Week at Paul Puncher in Support of KidsAbility.
As a men’s apparel store, we have the opportunity to connect with our male clients regularly. But, we wanted to create the opportunity to show our appreciation to our female clients—caring women who take time out of their busy schedules to seek out thoughtful gifts for the men in their lives. So, we offered our female patrons refreshments and sweets, as well as complimentary gift wrapping, to make their Paul Puncher experience exceptionally relaxing and enjoyable. In the chaotic rush of holiday gift buying and preparation, we wanted to make shopping at Paul Puncher a very pleasant exception.
We also offered ladies the opportunity to win our Grand Prize Draw—a Full Day Spa at The Waters. And they could enjoy these personal indulgences guilt-free, knowing that they were also supporting a very worthy local community charity, KidsAbility.
As a premier retailer in the Waterloo Region, we believe it’s our responsibility to give back to the community. We admire and appreciate the support KidsAbility provides to so many families in our region, including their work in areas such as Applied Behavioural Analysis, Augmented Communication Services, and their Hearing Program.
Says clothier Matthew Strongman: “We’ve been involved with many charities in the past and will continue to do so. But, in this case, we were looking for a local charitable organization that was easy to work with, and we could rely on to best vest our contribution. I had a niece who benefited from KidsAbility, and both Scott and I are parents with young kids. We can really connect with KidsAbility’s efforts. For us, it’s not about how much we contribute, but what our contribution is doing in the community that counts”.
We considered Ladies Week a complete success: we created an indulgent, relaxing atmosphere for our female patrons, in which they could leisurely select the perfect pieces for the men in their lives; we gifted one lucky patron a luxurious day at the spa; and we were able to donate $1,200.00 to KidsAbility. We look forward to making Ladies’ Week at Paul Puncher in Support of KidsAbility an annual event.
